Special Conditions applicable to Sri Lanka Airlines Platinum American Express® Credit Card (Platinum Card) issued by Nations Trust Bank PLC (Bank)

1. In addition to the terms and conditions applicable to American Express® Credit Cards issued by Nations Trust Bank PLC, these special conditions will also apply to Platinum Cards. In the event of a conflict between these terms and the general terms applicable to American Express® Cards issued by the Bank the general terms shall apply. Cardmembers are advised to read these terms and conditions carefully. By signing and /or using the card the cardmember accepts the terms and conditions set out below and will be bound by them.
   
2. The Platinum Card entitles the cardmember to membership of the FlySmiLes programme managed by Sri Lanka Airlines subject to rules and regulations of the FlySmiLes programme. The Platinum Card will be governed by the rules and regulations of FlySmiLes programme in addition to the Rules governing the use of credit cards issued by the Bank. The FlySmiLes booklet with information and rules will be forwarded to the Cardmember by FlySmiLes upon registration of membership.
   
3. The Silver FlySmiLes card offered to SriLankan Airlines Platinum American Express Cardmembers entitles the Cardmember to the listed benefits only and does not entitle cardmembers to Silver tier Bonus Miles.
   
4. American Express® or Nations Trust Bank PLC will not be liable or held responsible for offers or services rendered by SriLankan Airlines or the FlySmiLes program.
   
5. Platinum Cards will be issued only to those whose applications have been duly received by the Bank and the Bank will not be held responsible for loss or misdirection of applications howsoever caused.
   
6. Bank may, in consultation with Sri Lankan Airlines make available special Promotional Offers and benefits to Platinum Card members which offers and benefits are subject to withdrawal without prior notice.
   
7. Every Rs. 100/- spent on transactions made using the primary or supplementary Platinum Card will earn a minimum of 1 FlySmiLes Mile. Only the primary Cardmember will be eligible for Redemption of FlySmiLes Miles. Bank may change the spend required for earning a FlySmiLes Mile from time to time with adequate notice to Cardmembers in general.
   
8. In the event of a loss of membership of the FlySmiLes programme as per the terms and conditions governing such programme such Platinum Card member will cease to earn FlySmiLes on his/her Platinum card.

DOUBLE FlySmiLes miles on in-flight Duty free items

1. Minimum spend on in-flight purchases is US$100.
2. All purchases have to be made during one flight / journey.
3. Does not apply on Duty Free purchases made online.
4. Once purchase is made please call (011) 4 315 315 in order to avail the bonus FlySmiLes miles
5. Offer valid till 31st December 2013.
   
   

Terms and Conditions Application for the 1 for 1 Companion Ticket offer when you obtain your New Card

1. Valid only for Sri Lankan Airlines Platinum American Express Primary Cardmembers who are renewing their Cardmembership newly enrolled during the period January to December 2013. SriLankan Airlines Platinum American Express Supplementary cards will not be eligible for the companion ticket offer.
2. Primary Cardmembers will receive their offer letter from SriLankan Airlines via registered post 2 weeks from the date of the membership.
3. The offer is valid on Economy Class only.
4. Destinations on offer : Male and Chennai.
5. The Cardmember has to purchase an economy class revenue ticket to either Male or Chennai to be eligible for the companion ticket. Companion ticket will not be extended on Redemption, Non revenue, Service Recovery and Denied Boarding compensation tickets.
6. Both outbound and inbound travel should be completed within three months from the date of issue of the voucher and there will be no extensions granted under any circumstance.
7. The Cardmember and companion are required to travel on the same flight.
8. Offer is not valid on UL code share flights operated by other airlines.
9. The companion tickets will only be issued at the FlySmiLes Ticket office at the World Trade Centre.
10. Seats will be based on availability at the time of booking.
11. If seats cannot be obtained no extensions will be permitted on the voucher.
12. No name changes will be permitted on the companion ticket.
13. Date changes will only be permitted during the validity period of the ticket issued on payment of the applicable date change fee. Both the Primary Cardmember’s and companion’s tickets will need to be changed.
14. The Primary cardmember’s ticket needs to be purchased using the SriLankan Airlines Platinum American Express card.
15. All documents pertaining to the issuance of the redemption tickets needs to be filled and supporting documents need to be provided by the cardmember at the time of issuing the companion ticket.
16. The applicable taxes on the companion ticket will have to be paid by the Cardmember.
17. The companion ticket cannot be upgraded to business class using Flysmiles Miles.
18. The Companion tickets issued will not accrue FlySmiLes Miles.
   
   

Terms and Conditions applicable for 1 for 1 Companion Ticket offer for Cardmembers Renewing their Cardmembership

1. The companion tickets will only be extended to card members renewing their SriLankan Airlines Platinum American Express cards between January – December 2013.
2. Holders of SriLankan Airlines Platinum American Express Supplementary cards will not be eligible for a companion ticket.
3. The member has to purchase SriLankan Airlines economy class revenue ticket to Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Hongkong, Chennai, Bangalore, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Kochi , Male , Kuala Lumpur and or Singapore to be eligible for the companion ticket. Companion ticket will not be extended on Redemption, Non revenue, Service Recovery and Denied Boarding compensation tickets.
4. Kuala Lumpur and Singapore is available to do the travelling during March, September and October only.
5. Both outbound and inbound travel should be completed within six months from the issue date of this letter. Kindly note that there will not be any extensions granted under any circumstance.
6. The member and companion have to travel on the same flight.
7. Not valid on UL code share flights operated by other airlines.
8. The companion tickets will only be issued at the FlySmiLes Ticket office at the World Trade Centre.
